I suggest bringing Jesters, since they don’t have many HP and their Inspiring Tune will prevent the heroes from getting afflicted. Try using weaker classes so they get killed easier. The tricky part is that the Maggots attack with Grave Nibble, causing both stun and stress. Eventually you will come around a Battle with 4 Maggots, just let them attack you freely. The easiest way to do this is take four heroes of resolve level 0 and throw them into the Ruins. Maggots are probably the weakest monster in the game, both in DMG and HP. Just shift their positions and wait for a killing blow. Some afflictions may cause them to attack Wilbur. Avoid passing the hero’s turn, as it will give them some stress. Don’t use any heals and just wait until he kills something. When alone, Wilbur will attack with Squeal, it will hit all your party with 1-2 damage and has a chance to stun. It is much more likely that the Swine Prince kills your heroes, so deal with him first, with the boss killed the mission will not count as complete failure if all your party is killed. Wilbur’s attacks are very weak so this might be tricky. Wilbur will appear alongside the Swine Prince. You might want to avoid reading if you don’t want to spoil the surprise for yourself! This guide will show you all secret achievements and has a short explanation how to get them. A terrifying figure emerged from the darkness….TLDR - just roll with it - you'll get it eventually. You'd have much better luck just going torchless from the get-go in terms of finding a Shambler, but not so much from an efficiency standpoint in terms of the standard fights. Variable of course, and you can't always plan for an altar like you can for some good ole 'finish up and walk back and forward to try your luck', but still. I'd say I encountered a Shambler altar per every 4-5 dungeons on average in my more recent save - sometimes in quick succession, sometimes after a good few weeks, but I recall seeing plenty. There's not a whole lot to gain from regular farming except more stress or diseases (unless you're being super meta about it), except maybe trinkets or the chance to min-max whatever you have. As far as I'm concerned, by the time the dungeon is done (even if it's a short - unless super lucky with the mission), your pack should be relatively if not completely full.
